AIM Self-Service Password Reset is a tool that makes it possible for users in an organization to themselves, when they so wish, to recover their password in Active Directory.

Self service at login
AIM Self-Service Password Reset allows a user to change their
password before logging into Windows.
When using security, a user must register in order to use self-service. During
registration the user is responding to the questions configured by the administrator.
Self-service via web
For users who share your computer, you can also use AIM
Self-Service Password Reset via a web browser.
The Smart Card is used so a user can log into AIM Self-Service Password Reset
without first registering.
When using one-time passwords, a code is sent to the user’s alternate
e-mail or cell phone previously registered in the AIM Self-Service
Attribute-Based Access Control
Access to the system and configuration of permitted certificate types configured
via a web portal. Users can be given access through group membership or
attributes in Active Directory.
